CloudOps Lead Engineer, AWS & Kubernetes
Overview
You will own deployment, operation, and maintenance of cloud-based products at Amaze Systems Inc in Plano, TX. You will ensure smooth deployments, high system reliability, and strong operational performance across the infrastructure. Working with the cloud operations team, you will drive automation and monitoring improvements. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- 2Design and implement monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana to ensure high availability.
- 3Automate routine operational tasks using Python scripts and CI/CD pipelines.
- 4Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues in AWS environments.
- 5Scale and optimize containerized applications on Kubernetes and Docker.
- 6Collaborate with software engineers to ensure smooth deployments and reliability.
- 7Document operational procedures and runbooks for the team.
- 8Drive performance tuning and cost optimization of cloud resources.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience in cloud operations or site reliability engineering.
- 23+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM) and Kubernetes.
- 3Strong expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- 4Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
- 5Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- 6Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
- 7Relevant AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification preferred.
- 8Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills to guide the team during outages.
