Cloud/DevOps Engineer III
Overview
You will design and own the cloud infrastructure for a central banking system, managing AWS and Kubernetes clusters at scale. You will join a team of five engineers within the IT division, collaborating with security and compliance to meet FedRAMP standards. This role stands out because your work directly supports the stability of the U.S. financial system, and you will lead the migration of legacy systems to terraform-managed environments.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using terraform, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- 2Lead the migration of on-premises workloads to Kubernetes, reducing deployment time by 50%.
- 3Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, automating testing and deployment.
- 4Own the monitoring and alerting stack using Prometheus and Grafana, reducing mean time to detection by 30%.
- 5Design zero-downtime deployment strategies for critical banking applications.
- 6Debug production issues across the stack, from load balancers to database connections.
- 7Drive security hardening efforts, including IAM policies and vulnerability scanning.
- 8Optimize cloud costs by right-sizing instances and implementing auto-scaling policies.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in cloud engineering with AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM).
- 23+ years hands-on with Kubernetes and Docker in production.
- 3Strong terraform skills, including writing reusable modules.
- 4Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- 5Working knowledge of Python or Go for scripting and tooling.
- 6Understanding of FedRAMP or similar compliance frameworks.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
