Cloud Solutions Architect, AI & Database Engineering
Overview
Own the design and build of cloud, database, security, API, and AI infrastructure for enterprise applications at ABCO MAINTENANCE INC. This role architects scalable Azure or AWS environments, engineers production SQL Server databases, and develops secure REST APIs with C#/.NET. You will define AI architecture using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI to operationalize LLMs in business workflows. Work onsite in Houston, Texas, with a team of developers and stakeholders, translating requirements into secure, production-ready solutions. $150k-$180k compensation based on experience.
What You'll Do10
- 1Architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments on Azure or AWS for enterprise applications.
- 2Design the overall backend architecture supporting web apps, internal systems, integrations, and AI-powered solutions.
- 3Build and maintain production SQL Server databases, including schemas, indexing, stored procedures, and data-access patterns.
- 4Develop secure REST APIs and backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core for front-end consumption.
- 5Implement OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and SSO for authentication and authorization across services.
- 6Design cloud networking, firewalls, gateways, load balancing, and monitoring for Azure or AWS infrastructure.
- 7Architect RAG systems that securely retrieve enterprise data from databases, documents, and vector stores for LLM workflows.
- 8Integrate OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Anthropic to execute complex business processes through structured instructions and tool use.
- 9Establish CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployment processes for backend services and cloud resources.
- 10Define AI evaluation and monitoring standards to ensure accuracy, reliability, and security of AI-powered workflows.
Requirements9
- 18+ years architecting cloud solutions on Azure or AWS for enterprise applications.
- 28+ years building production SQL Server databases, including schema design, performance tuning, and high availability.
- 35+ years developing REST APIs with C# and ASP.NET Core in a cloud environment.
- 43+ years designing AI solutions with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google AI, including RAG architectures.
- 5Expertise in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SSO, and enterprise identity providers.
- 6Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- 7Deep understanding of security standards: SSL/TLS, encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
- 8Proven track record designing AI workflows that execute operational business tasks, not just chatbot integrations.
- 9Strong collaboration skills with front-end developers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical architecture.
