Overview
Own laboratory procedures to deliver accurate results at scale. Maintain competence in pre-analytic analytic and post-analytic processes across biological specimens. Perform phlebotomy specimen processing quality control and various testing including waived moderate and high complexity tasks. Adhere to regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety. Differentiate through expertise in CLS licensing and specialized clinical areas.
What You'll Do7
- 1Execute phlebotomy and specimen processing while maintaining quality control standards
- 2Conduct routine testing including chemistry specialization hematology coagulation and urinalysis
- 3Manage blood inventory and prepare blood products when assigned to Transfusion Service
- 4Respond to workflow fluctuations unexpected equipment failures and shift hand-offs
- 5Review pending logs and prioritize assignments to meet daily operational demands
- 6Ensure compliance with regulations protecting patient privacy and safety
- 7Organize and complete tasks within expected timeframes following established procedures
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree prior to start date
- 2CLS Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist certification
- 35+ years experience in laboratory settings
- 4Proven ability to work evenings and weekends
- 5Strong communication skills for patient interaction
- 6Knowledge of CLIA standards and quality assurance practices
- 7Experience with Spark Airflow and AWS platforms
- 8Demonstrated leadership potential in shift environments
Salary Insight
$144 - $202k per year
