Overview
The position involves leading laboratory quality assurance and control programs while supporting regulatory compliance and operational excellence. This long-term contract role requires a licensed clinical laboratory scientist to drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality diagnostic services.
What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate and support laboratory QA QC programs
- 2Monitor compliance with CLIA CAP state regulations
- 3Review quality metrics and corrective action documentation
- 4Assist with internal audits and regulatory survey preparation
- 5Maintain SOPs policies and quality documentation
- 6Investigate non-conformances and lead CAPA efforts
- 7Collaborate with leadership on process improvements
- 8Ensure accurate documentation of QA activities
- 9Support staff training and competency assessments
- 10Assist with validation of new procedures and workflows
- 11Provide bench support in chemistry molecular and mass spectrometry
Requirements9
- 1Active California CLS or CGMBS license
- 2Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science Chemistry Biology or related field
- 3Previous QA QC or lab operations experience preferred
- 4Experience with Mass Spec Chemistry or Molecular testing
- 5Strong understanding of CLIA CAP regulations
- 6Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- 7Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- 8Familiarity with LIS and EMR systems
- 9Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards
Salary Insight
$65 - $75k per year
