Client Relationship Consultant (Banker) - Los Angeles
Overview
You will own client relationships at a U.S. Bank branch in Maywood, CA, managing a portfolio of consumer and small business clients. You will connect with clients in-person, by appointment, and virtually, assessing their financial needs and recommending deposit and loan products. Working alongside branch team members, you will drive growth through proactive outreach and digital education. This role stands out because you will also handle NMLS registration, opening accounts, and submitting credit applications, giving you broad exposure across retail banking.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and nurture client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up, using NMLS tools to track interactions.
- 2Open consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications, ensuring accuracy.
- 3Educate clients on digital banking and self-service technologies, demonstrating how to use mobile apps and online platforms.
- 4Process basic transactions, greet clients, and deliver a consistent, optimal client experience.
- 5Make product recommendations based on each client's goals, leveraging CRM systems to track needs and preferences.
- 6Collaborate with branch partners to identify and act on cross-selling opportunities.
- 7Maintain working knowledge of all retail products and services, including loans, credit cards, and deposits.
- 8Participate in sales campaigns and promotions to meet branch targets.
- 9Handle inbound and outbound client communications via phone, email, and video conferencing.
Requirements10
- 14-5 years of retail banking experience or equivalent training.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Proven ability to build client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up.
- 4Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client engagement.
- 5Thorough knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and support systems.
- 6Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.
- 7Ability to identify client needs and make appropriate recommendations, both reactively and proactively.
- 8Preferred: experience in the financial services industry.
- 9Must obtain NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act and maintain satisfactory background and credit checks.
- 10Ability to work on-site at the Maywood branch.
