What You'll Do7
- 1Diagnose and repair classic vehicles to original specifications
- 2Perform engine upgrades and mechanical overhauls on antique automobiles
- 3Inspect and fix brake systems suspension steering and drivetrain components
- 4Fabricate or source hard-to-find parts for restoration projects
- 5Collaborate with clients to develop restoration plans and provide recommendations
- 6Document repairs accurately including parts used and labor performed
- 7Maintain a clean organized safe shop environment
Requirements6
- 1Proven experience as an auto mechanic specializing in classic or vintage vehicles
- 2Deep knowledge of older mechanical systems carburetors points ignition period-correct components
- 3Ability to read vintage automotive schematics and service manuals
- 4Experience with fabrication welding or custom parts sourcing
- 5Strong problem-solving skills meticulous attention to detail genuine passion for classic cars
- 6Must supply own tools
