What You'll Do10
- 1Act in responsible charge of engineering project design and delivery, ensuring firm commitments are met with quality and on schedule.
- 2Lead multidisciplinary project teams, mentoring engineers and fostering growth through recognition and team-building.
- 3Establish and manage project scope, schedules, staffing, and budgets to deliver on time and within financial targets.
- 4Coordinate engineering design and plan production, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
- 5Serve as the point of responsibility for project-level QC/QA, ensuring adherence to firm standards and regulatory requirements.
- 6Provide high-level technical oversight, guiding teams in developing defensible engineering solutions and owning final design decisions.
- 7Cultivate strong client relationships, negotiating contracts and scope changes while ensuring satisfaction.
- 8Manage project financials, risk, and profitability, aligning with firm goals and engineering economics.
- 9Mentor staff at all levels, assigning mentors and fostering consistent mentoring across teams.
- 10Communicate effectively with clients, agencies, and the public, handling critical issues with sound judgment.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program or related field.
- 2Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 310+ years of engineering project management experience, with demonstrated responsible charge of projects.
- 4Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills for internal and external clients.
- 5Experience leading complex or multi-disciplinary civil projects.
- 6Strong background in QC/QA, project financial reporting, and risk management.
- 7Experience interacting directly with clients, agencies, and the public.
