Overview
The Chief Engineer leads all engineering and maintenance operations to deliver an exceptional guest experience while maximizing efficiency and asset longevity. This role reports directly to the Director of Engineering.
What You'll Do6
- 1Oversee all engineering operations including building maintenance mechanical systems and energy management
- 2Lead a team of maintenance professionals ensuring proper training scheduling and performance management
- 3Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime
- 4Ensure compliance with safety regulations brand standards and White Lodging policies
- 5Manage department budgets cost controls and capital expenditure projects
- 6Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading large teams in technical environments
- 35+ years experience with HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical systems
- 45+ years managing hotel operational budgets and capital projects
- 5Strong problem-solving and communication skills with training capabilities
