What You'll Do11
- 1Maintain high investigative knowledge and coordinate with local state and federal agencies
- 2Review case progress with investigators and Deputy District Attorneys
- 3Conduct periodic meetings on critical office and unit issues

- 5Manage unit training aligned with POST requirements
- 6Coordinate personal security for District Attorney and staff
- 7Oversee fleet maintenance and equipment issuance
- 8Serve as primary contact for officer-involved shootings
- 9Perform administrative duties and handle public criminal activity inquiries
- 10Delegate tasks to Deputy Chief Investigators as needed
- 11Act as point of contact for law enforcement agencies regarding specific incidents
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience providing required skills knowledge and abilities
- 2Nine years of law enforcement experience with five years as detective or investigator
- 3Minimum two years supervisory responsibility or equivalent training
- 4Colorado residency and valid driver’s license
- 5Colorado Peace Officer certification meeting POST requirements
- 6Ability to operate vehicles firearms and other issued equipment
- 7Extensive knowledge of civil and criminal law enforcement principles statutes and ordinances
- 8Strong interpersonal skills for diverse interactions and crisis situations
- 9Background check and fingerprint clearance required
- 10Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities
- 11Proficiency in writing and presenting detailed reports
