What You'll Do10

  • 1Answer phones and log patient details for every call.
  • 2Review prescriptions from phone, fax, and electronic sources.
  • 3Prepare and dispense medications for home patients under pharmacist review.
  • 4Build technical knowledge of pharmacy products to answer patient questions.
  • 5Monitor drug stock levels and place orders with pharmacist approval.
  • 6Drive quality improvement programs to meet accreditation standards.
  • 7Stock shelves, clean workspaces, and manage pharmacy supplies.
  • 8Ring up prescriptions and OTC items at the POS terminal.
  • 9Submit insurance claims and resolve payment issues with insurers.

Requirements9

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 22+ years in a pharmacy setting preferred.
  • 3Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • 4Basic math proficiency for dosage calculations.

  • 6Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • 7MA Registered Technician License required.
  • 8National Certification (PTCB) required.
  • 9Ability to stand and walk for extended shifts, and lift up to 40 pounds.
