Overview
Join Ascension's Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin Texas as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. You will conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy under supervision implement treatment plans document patient progress seek consultations monitor responses communicate updates educate patients and families provide discharge planning and assist with adaptive equipment selection. - 1Conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy under supervision
- 2Implement established treatment plans using appropriate modalities
- 3Document patient progress findings
- 4Seek consultation as needed
- 5Monitor patient response to treatment plan
- 6Communicate patient progress and goal revisions to occupational therapist
- 7Educate patients and families about deficits
- 8Provide discharge planning assistance and adaptive equipment guidance
- 9Oversee care for three technicians following regulations
Requirements8
- 1BLS Provider obtained within 30 days of hire
- 2American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification
- 3Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential from Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners within 180 days of hire
- 4High school diploma or GED
- 5Acute care experience
