Overview
Catholic Charities Peter Claver Community seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with HIV/AIDS in San Francisco. This onsite role involves providing direct care and assisting with daily living activities. Shifts include day evenings nights and weekends. What You'll Do9
- 1Observe and report health status changes to the RN continuously
- 2Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing dressing oral hygiene and skin care
- 3Perform light housekeeping shopping and errands for residents
- 4Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with feeding meal preparation and cleanup
- 5Help residents self administer medications and check vital signs as needed
- 6Manage emergency situations and maintain supply areas
- 7Complete daily charting filing and update communication logs
- 8Participate in case conferences and staff meetings
- 9Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with documentation standards
Requirements9
- 1Certification in California as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- 2Current CPR and First Aid certification
- 35+ years experience working with HIV mental health or substance abuse populations
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
- 5Strong written communication skills for patient chart maintenance
- 6Experience with electronic health records and documentation systems
- 7Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- 8Understanding of cultural competence in serving diverse populations
- 9Valid California driver’s license if vehicle operation is required
