Overview
You will own daily care delivery for a caseload of elderly residents at a Skilled Nursing Facility in New Rochelle, NY. White Glove Placement staffs LTC units across the state, pairing you with a supportive team and 24/7 service. This contract role focuses on weekends, offering set scheduling and options for night shifts for work-life balance. What You'll Do8
- 1Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- 2Support feeding and hydration, monitoring intake and reporting changes to nursing staff.
- 3Perform toileting and incontinence care, maintaining dignity and infection control standards.
- 4Transfer and reposition residents using Hoyer lifts and gait belts to prevent falls and pressure ulcers.
- 5Document care provided in EMR systems (e.g., PointClickCare) within shift deadlines.
- 6Communicate resident status changes to licensed nurses and participate in shift handoffs.
- 7Deliver compassionate care per New York state regulations and facility policies.
- 8Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to OSHA and CDC guidelines
Requirements6
- 1New York CNA certification required.
- 2Fully COVID vaccinated (primary series plus booster if eligible).
- 3Availability for every other weekend and main weekend shifts.
- 4Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8-12 hour shifts.
- 51+ years experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings.
- 6Completion of a state-approved CNA training program within the last 2 years.
