Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Geriatric Care
Overview
CNAs at Neshaminy Manor provide hands-on care for elderly residents in a skilled nursing facility. They assist with daily living, monitor vitals, and document in eClinicalWorks and Cerner. Full benefits begin the month after hire. This role directly impacts resident comfort and safety in a geriatric setting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating during your first 90 days.
- 2Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, using eClinicalWorks.
- 3Document patient care accurately in Cerner and other medical records systems.
- 4Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, building trust and rapport.
- 5Help with mobility and safe transport of residents within the facility.
- 6Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans for each resident.
- 7Maintain a clean, safe patient environment, reducing infection risks and falls.
- 8Administer medications under nursing direction, following CNA protocol.
Requirements8
- 1CNA certification in Pennsylvania or compact state.
- 21+ year experience in hospital, assisted living, or geriatric care preferred.
- 3Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or Cerner for medical records.
- 4Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common geriatric conditions.
- 5Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and team.
- 6Ability to lift and transfer patients, up to 50 pounds.
- 7Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
- 8Pass background check and drug screening.
