Forest Lawn seeks a skilled professional to join the Interments department and contribute to maintaining sacred burial spaces. The ideal candidate will lead ground preparation and installation tasks while ensuring client satisfaction and operational safety.
What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare interment spaces by locating areas and measuring dimensions
- 2Assemble vault-lowering equipment and place vaults in crypts
- 3Perform accurate checks of interment locations before completion
- 4Report unsafe conditions immediately to supervisors
- 5Inspect all equipment for safe operation before each use
- 6Maintain clean work areas and handle equipment repairs with supervisor approval
- 7Operate various machinery including tractors and specialized tools
- 8Assist with tent placement and client communication regarding memorial installations
- 9Install flower vases and memorial tablets
- 10Make minor equipment adjustments and manage supply inventory
Requirements6
- 1Valid California Driver License
- 2Ability to push and pull 100 pounds and perform one-handed lifts
- 32-3 years interment or cemetery experience
- 4Prior equipment operation experience
- 5Strong commitment to customer service and complaint resolution
- 6Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
Salary Insight
$50 - $58k per year
