Catering Services Worker, Event Setup & Service
Overview
You will own the physical execution of catering events at the University of Dallas, from setup to teardown, ensuring seamless service for hundreds of guests. You will handle food and beverage transport, arrange furniture and buffet lines, and maintain spotless service areas. Working under the Aramark event operations team, you will coordinate with the banquet event order and support a high-volume schedule of university functions. This role stands out for its direct impact on guest satisfaction and the variety of events you will support, from intimate receptions to large-scale ceremonies.
What You'll Do9
- 1Set up catering and event service according to client requests and the banquet event order, including arranging chairs, tables, and buffet lines.
- 2Transport and deliver catering food and beverage along with all vital supplies and equipment to event locations using carts and hand trucks.
- 3Replenish food and beverage products during events to maintain guest satisfaction and service continuity.
- 4Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during events, clearing used items and wiping surfaces.
- 5Pick up and clean up food and beverage deliveries after service, disposing of waste and returning equipment to storage.
- 6Break down and clean the event area after conclusion, ensuring proper storage of all equipment and supplies.
- 7Provide excellent customer service to all guests, addressing requests and resolving issues promptly.
- 8Follow safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of PPE as required.
- 9Complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required and comply with dress code and uniform standards.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of previous customer service experience preferred.
- 21+ years of previous catering or event service experience preferred.
- 3Ability to work independently with limited supervision, following instruction from the event lead.
- 4Must follow the required dress code as assigned, including wearing a uniform and PPE.
- 5Must be available to work event-based hours, including evenings and weekends as scheduled.
- 6Must complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required.
- 7Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods during events.
