What You'll Do8
- 1Apply cash receipts in the booking subledger to the correct client booking within the first 30 days, using Excel and the company's financial system.
- 2Monitor incoming payments via wire, ACH, and checks daily, and flag discrepancies promptly.
- 3Research unapplied cash and resolve mismatches between booking and receipt data.
- 4Reconcile cash receipts backup to booking detail on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy.
- 5Investigate variances between booking and cash receipt records, and document findings.
- 6Provide backup to team members handling client receivable filing during peak periods.
- 7Address stakeholder inquiries regarding payment status and cash application details.
- 8Assist with ad hoc requests from the accounting leadership to improve cash management workflows.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of accounting experience in a similar role.
- 2Previous experience in entertainment or banking is highly preferred.
- 3Prior customer service experience is a plus.
- 4Proficiency in Excel and Outlook for data entry and communication.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication to explain accounting concepts.
- 6Strong interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
- 7High organization and attention to detail for managing multiple projects.
- 8Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
