What You'll Do12
- 1Provide prompt friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and creating positive interactions
- 2Count registers after each shift and balance cash and coin securely
- 3Place cash pulls in the safe and manage funds from the safe as needed
- 4Sort checks coupons payouts and charges into appropriate register files
- 5Calculate cash over and short amounts and investigate discrepancies
- 6Approve checks written for cash and process merchandise purchase payments
- 7Reconcile money orders Western Union utilities bank cards and gift cards
- 8Perform all register operations while staying updated on lookup numbers and department details
- 9Troubleshoot mechanical register issues and assist cashiers when required
- 10Train cashiers and maintain an ongoing training program
- 11Operate menu-driven computer programs using a mouse keypad and alphanumeric keyboard
- 12Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as assigned

- 1Add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers accurately and efficiently
- 2File post sort and organize materials and paperwork
- 3Read and follow product safety information as needed
- 4Maintain discretion and integrity when handling confidential financial data
- 5Communicate professionally with customers cashiers and store leadership
- 6Hold a high school diploma or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year relevant experience
- 7Frequently stand and walk during shifts in sales food service or delivery areas
- 8Safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- 9Exposure to heat-burn related hazards from cooking equipment
- 10Ability to operate a delivery vehicle following DOT standards
