Case Packer - Entry Level Production
Overview
You will own the case packing process on a high-volume soup production line, packaging, labeling, and palletizing fresh-label soups for the largest soup company on the West Coast. In a team of production workers, you will ensure products meet food safety and quality standards while maintaining line speed. This contract-to-hire role in Everett, WA, offers maximum overtime and growth potential in a cold, 45-degree environment. Your physical stamina and attention to detail will keep the line running smoothly from day one.
What You'll Do8
- 1Package fresh-label soups by lifting cases from the conveyor into boxes, handling up to 30-50 lbs repeatedly.
- 2Label products accurately and verify packaging integrity, checking that machine packaging operates smoothly and labels are correctly applied.
- 3Hand palletize finished boxes, stacking them securely to meet shipping and storage requirements.
- 4Monitor the production line for jams or defects, reporting issues to supervisors immediately to minimize downtime.
- 5Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, following food safety protocols including wearing required PPE.
- 6Work overtime and weekends on a seasonal basis to meet production targets.
- 7Follow all safety guidelines and adhere to cold environment protocols to ensure personal and team safety.
- 8Assist with line changeovers and other duties as needed to support efficient production.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing 30-50 lbs repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hour shift.
- 3Comfortable working in a cold environment (45 degrees Fahrenheit) for extended periods.
- 4Willing to wear full PPE suit, with no makeup, fake nails, or jewelry while on the production floor.
- 5Flexibility to work overtime and weekends on a seasonal basis.
- 6Previous manufacturing or food industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
- 7Attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling and packaging.
- 8Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for the duration of the shift.
