Case Manager, Arbitration & Mediation
Overview
As a Case Manager at JAMS, you own the administrative backbone for arbitrations and mediations, supporting panelists and clients across the full case lifecycle. You manage case files, coordinate hearings, and ensure every deadline is met, directly contributing to the success of the alternative dispute resolution process. What You'll Do9
- 1Manage case files and maintain accurate records, ensuring all case-related documents are up to date from day one.
- 2Prepare and distribute panelist lists for arbitration filings and client requests, coordinating with local management and the Arbitration Practice Team.
- 3Schedule and coordinate hearings, conference calls, and case activities to align with client and panelist needs.
- 4Respond promptly to general inquiries and website requests, delivering exceptional client service.
- 5Support assigned panelists with administrative tasks, ensuring timely follow-up on case actions.
- 6Monitor case timelines and deadlines, hitting every milestone without exception.
- 7Communicate effectively with clients, panelists, and team members to resolve questions and issues during the case lifecycle.
- 8Engage in training to master JAMS case management systems and workflows, building foundational ADR knowledge.
- 9Own additional tasks within the scope of case management as they arise.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field.
- 22-4 years working in case management.
- 32-4 years in a legal and client service role.
- 41-3 years as a Case Coordinator or similar position for internal candidates.
- 5Proficiency in all ADR processes including mediation, arbitration, and court reference matters.
- 6Working knowledge of panelists' proficiency, practice areas, and preferences in the local Resolution Center.
- 7Computer literacy and proficiency in required software programs.
- 8Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 9Emotional intelligence and adaptability under pressure.
- 10Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

$62 - $82k per year
