Carryout Associate, Italian Restaurant
Overview
You will own the full carryout experience at Maggiano's Little Italy, taking orders, packing meals, and collecting payments for guests who prefer dining at home. You'll work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, coordinating with servers and chefs to ensure every order is accurate and hot. What You'll Do8
- 1Take carryout orders over the phone and in person, confirming details and special requests.
- 2Pack food and beverage orders, checking each item against the ticket for accuracy.
- 3Collect payments, process credit cards and cash, and handle POS transactions.
- 4Greet guests when they arrive, ensuring a warm Maggiano's welcome and quick handoff.
- 5Maintain a clean and organized carryout station, restocking containers and bags.
- 6Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage timing, especially during peak hours.
- 7Resolve order issues promptly, offering solutions to keep guests happy.
- 8Support front-of-house team during high volume, assisting with delivery orders as needed.
Requirements8
- 11+ years experience in restaurant or customer service role.
- 2Strong math skills for cash handling and change making.
- 3Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift 25+ pounds of food and supplies.
- 4Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 5Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 6Food handler's certification or ability to obtain one.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent.
- 8Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
