Overview
You will own resident care and medication administration at Windchime of Marin, serving seniors in a 24/7 community. What You'll Do10
- 1Check on assigned residents throughout the shift and respond to call bells within minutes, documenting any changes in condition.
- 2Administer medications following the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting each dose and reporting refusals or missed doses to the nurse on duty.
- 3Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming while promoting independence and dignity.
- 4Count narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse at each shift change.
- 5Restock the medication cart after each pass and maintain a clean med room, checking for expired medications.
- 6Take and record vital signs: temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and weight.
- 7Serve and collect food trays, reporting meal refusals or decreased appetite to the supervisor.
- 8Handle continence management and disposal of products to keep resident suites and restrooms sanitary.
- 9Participate in monthly service plan updates, contributing observations from daily care.
- 10Report any occupational exposures to blood or hazardous materials immediately.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 2Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 3CPR Certification preferred.
- 4First Aid Certification preferred.
- 5Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
- 61+ years of experience working with seniors preferred.
