What You'll Do10
- 1Help clients with personal care and hygiene
- 2Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks
- 3Plan and prepare meals with clients
- 4Handle light housekeeping duties
- 5Report health changes or unusual incidents
- 6Provide pleasant supportive companionship
- 7Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips
- 8Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately
- 9Provide assistance with mobility and ambulation at home or during errands
- 10Offer advanced training in dementia care and Alzheimer’s care
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- 3Excellent time-management skills
- 4Reliable transportation and current driver’s license
- 5Physical endurance for tasks like carrying groceries and transferring clients
- 6Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking while following dietary requirements
- 7Willingness to comply with state and office health safety standards such as background checks
- 8Compassion understanding and desire to brighten client days
