You will own daily resident care at Pegasus Landing of Katy, a senior living community in Houston, Texas. Serving residents with kindness and integrity, you ensure their comfort, safety, and dignity. What You'll Do8
- 1Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- 2Document care provided and observe changes in resident condition, reporting to nursing staff to maintain health records.
- 3Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversations, fostering a supportive and social environment.
- 4Respond to resident calls promptly, providing assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper techniques.
- 5Support dining services by setting tables, serving meals, and assisting residents during mealtimes.
- 6Maintain clean and safe resident rooms and common areas, following infection control protocols.
- 7Medication reminders and assistance as permitted by state regulations and facility policy.
- 8Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance care skills, with Continued Education (CEU) reimbursement available.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of relevant experience working with older adults (preferred).
- 2Applicable certifications as required by state, such as CNA or Caregiver Certification.
- 3Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 190 pounds with assistance.
- 4Effective verbal and written communication in English with residents, families, and staff.
- 5High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare or gerontology is a plus.
- 6Must pass background check and drug screening as per company policy.
- 7Flexibility to work day or evening shifts including 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, full-time or part-time.
