Overview

You will own software calibration for Powertrain and Thermal systems across bench and vehicle environments. You will tune Transmission, Inverter, Battery, and Thermal Management controllers to hit efficiency and performance targets. You'll work with INCA, CANape, and CANalyzer in a Detroit-based lab alongside cross-functional teams. This role offers direct impact on EV and hybrid calibration programs with long-term contract stability.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Conduct bench and vehicle evaluations to assess system performance and identify calibration opportunities.
  • 2Calibrate Powertrain and Thermal software for Transmission, Inverter, Battery, and Cabin controls.
  • 3Support Vehicle and Powertrain controller software calibration development across multiple validation stages.
  • 4Plan calibration activities and vehicle tests to meet milestone deadlines and optimize resource use.
  • 5Set up and maintain calibration tools (INCA, CANape) to guarantee accurate data acquisition.
  • 6Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to align calibration with system requirements.
  • 7Document calibration procedures, results, and improvement recommendations for continuous optimization.
  • 8Manage calibration projects within budget, timeline, and quality boundaries.

Requirements9

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
  • 23+ years of experience in vehicle or powertrain calibration, preferably in automotive.
  • 3Strong grasp of powertrain systems, thermal management, and vehicle control modules.
  • 4Proficiency with INCA, CANape, or similar calibration tools.
  • 5Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 6Ability to plan and organize calibration activities effectively.
  • 7Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • 8Detail-oriented with focus on quality and accuracy.
  • 9Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
