Buyer/Purchasing Specialist, Manufacturing & Inventory Control
Overview
Own day-to-day procurement for indirect and operational materials in a manufacturing setting with on-site collaboration. Scale supply coordination to support production schedules and maintain inventory readiness across White Bear Lake operations. You will manage purchasing records, supplier relationships, and timely fulfillment while keeping documentation organized. This role offers hands-on purchasing with room to improve processes and ensure material availability.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage day-to-day purchasing activity for office supplies, cylinders, robotics related items, die cast equipment, and other operational materials
- 2Coordinate with suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, and delivery timing to meet production needs without delays
- 3Partner with production planning teams to anticipate material demand and support continuity across manufacturing operations
- 4Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock before shortages affect workflow
- 5Maintain accurate purchasing records, order documentation, and supplier information for traceability
- 6Follow up on open orders and vendor commitments to meet lead-time expectations and keep procurement on track
- 7Work with a limited supplier base while building dependable vendor relationships and resolving delivery issues as they arise
- 8Participate in on-site coordination with front-office and production stakeholders to align purchasing priorities
- 9Show experience in purchasing, procurement, or related materials support within office, industrial, or manufacturing settings
- 10Coordinate multiple material requests in a fast paced environment while managing routine purchase orders

- 2Ability to manage routine purchase orders and coordinate multiple material requests in a fast paced environment
- 3Working knowledge of supplier communication, order tracking, and purchasing documentation best practices
- 4Familiarity with inventory monitoring and basic material planning to help avoid stock shortages
- 5Strong organizational skills with careful attention to timelines, follow-through, and record accuracy
- 6Comfortable working on-site five days per week and collaborating with production planning and internal teams
- 7Degree is not required; demonstrated success performing purchasing responsibilities is valued most
- 8Excellent communication and problem solving skills to support timely procurement and issue resolution
