What You'll Do10
- 1Strategic Procurement: Utilize MRP to procure special and stock items with focus on right quantity cost and timing
- 2Update pricing inventory and master files to maintain accuracy
- 3Supplier Relationship Management: Build and develop relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration
- 4Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide price lists interact with sales personnel and resolve payment discrepancies
- 5RFQ Management: Compile comprehensive RFQ packages to support informed decision making
- 6Timely Resolution: Ensure resolution of past due purchase orders and address receiving variances
- 7Collaborate with operations team to address over/under shipments
- 8Maintain accurate records through MRP and inventory systems
- 9Develop alternative solutions for supply chain challenges
- 10Analyze spending patterns to identify optimization opportunities
Requirements10
- 12–4 years of buying planning sourcing negotiating experience in distribution or equivalent military context
- 2Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and MRP systems
- 3Strong vendor management skills to establish effective supplier relationships
- 4Advanced analytical abilities to prioritize projects in fast-paced environment
- 5Demonstrated organizational skills with urgency
- 6Experience with paper disposables or janitorial products preferred
- 7Food service industry familiarity beneficial
- 8Contract and rebate negotiation experience required
- 9Ability to pass background check post offer acceptance
- 10Military experience acceptable as substitute for relevant professional background
