Buyer, MRP/ERP Purchasing & Supply Chain - 6 Month Contract
Overview
The role owns daily purchasing and procurement activities to ensure timely material availability for operations, engineering, and service teams at scale. You will manage purchase orders in an MRP/ERP system, expedite shipments, maintain vendor relationships, and coordinate warehouse operations for rental fleet spare parts. You will work closely with operations, finance, and warehouse teams to support on time delivery and efficient processes. This position offers hands on experience in a structured but fast paced environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage purchase orders in MRP/ERP systems including updates and change orders
- 2Track open orders and deliveries, expedite late shipments, and communicate status to internal stakeholders
- 3Maintain strong supplier relationships and negotiate terms on pricing, lead times, and delivery performance
- 4Coordinate with the Warehouse Clerk to oversee warehouse operations for rental fleet spare parts
- 5Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
- 6Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate billing
- 7Support inbound logistics activities including tracking and issue resolution
- 8Perform accurate data entry in ERP and related systems to maintain purchasing records
- 9Use Microsoft Excel to analyze purchasing data and prepare reports
- 10Collaborate with operations, engineering, service, and finance to align purchasing with business needs
Requirements10
- 1Purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 2Hands on experience using MRP/ERP systems to create and manage purchase orders
- 3Proven PO management experience including tracking, updating, and expediting
- 4Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- 5Vendor and supplier management experience with relationship building and performance follow up
- 6Experience tracking deliveries and expediting shipments to meet timelines
- 7Ability to resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable
- 8Experience with inbound logistics and coordinating materials
- 9Accurate data entry skills and familiarity with ERP systems
- 10Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and effective communication
