Overview
You will own the full requirements lifecycle for the enterprise data warehouse at a major bank, working with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical specifications. You will join a dedicated EDW team, collaborating with data engineers and analytics teams to deliver data solutions. This role stands out as a lead position in a mission-critical data program, requiring deep expertise in SQL and ETL processes.
What You'll Do8
- 1Drive requirements gathering sessions with business partners to define data needs for the EDW.
- 2Document detailed functional and technical requirements for ETL processes and data models.
- 3Collaborate with data engineers to design and validate SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- 4Lead walkthroughs of requirements with development teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
- 5Support data validation and testing efforts, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- 6Partner with business users to prioritize data requirements across multiple projects.
- 7Establish and maintain a requirements traceability matrix to track changes.
- 8Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders in clear business language.
Requirements8
- 15+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role in a data-centric environment.
- 25+ years working with SQL in a relational database environment (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- 33+ years experience in ETL and data warehousing concepts (e.g., Informatica, DataStage).
- 4Proven ability to convert business requirements into technical specifications.
- 5Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- 6Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy.
- 7Prior experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
- 8Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
