Overview
Lead strategic planning and operations for Apple's Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team, driving cross-functional programs that shape the organization's roadmap and priorities. You'll translate long-term vision into measurable outcomes, coordinate with engineering, data science, and infrastructure teams, and report directly to senior leadership. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and program management, offering high visibility and impact. What You'll Do8
- 1Drive SDS strategy by turning long-term vision into clear plans and measurable outcomes aligned with Apple's roadmap.
- 2Set up operating cadences and track key initiatives, coordinating complex programs across engineering, data science, program, and infrastructure teams.
- 3Identify operational improvements and lead initiatives that boost efficiency, scalability, and collaboration across SDS.
- 4Develop executive briefings and decision frameworks that help senior leaders weigh tradeoffs, align on priorities, and decide with confidence.
- 5Build metrics, dashboards, and reports that give visibility into organizational health, initiative progress, and capacity utilization.
- 6Manage cross-functional project timelines, stakeholders, dependencies, and risks to deliver organizational priorities.
- 7Oversee forecasting, vendor relationships, procurement, and financial reporting to ensure responsible resource management.
- 8Coordinate headcount, hiring forecasts, and organizational reporting in partnership with Finance, HR, and Recruiting.
Requirements12
- 17+ years in business planning, operations, strategy, finance, program management, or related functions.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Management, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3Experience supporting executive leadership and senior teams in strategic decision-making.
- 4Strong business acumen with hands-on budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, or vendor management.
- 5Analytical problem-solving with a track record of turning data into actionable insights for leaders.
- 6Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional programs and influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication, including preparing executive-ready materials.
- 8Self-motivated and adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- 9Familiarity with organizational planning, annual operating plans, headcount, or portfolio management.
- 10Hands-on data skills: Excel, SQL, ETL tools, data warehousing, and Python scripting.
- 11Data visualization with Tableau, D3, or Power BI.
- 12Experience with formal transformation and change management frameworks is preferred.
