Business Intelligence Engineer, Middle Mile Planning
Overview
You will own data analysis and reporting for Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation network, impacting billions of dollars in annual decisions. You will build ETL pipelines with Redshift and S3, and create dashboards using Tableau and Quicksight. Collaborating with engineering, science, and operations teams, you will drive process improvements and translate data into actionable insights. What You'll Do8
- 1Build ETL pipelines using SQL and Python to process and model data from Redshift, Oracle, and NoSQL sources.
- 2Design interactive dashboards in Tableau and Quicksight that visualize key business metrics and trends for leadership.
- 3Drive analysis of transportation network performance, identifying cost and time optimization opportunities.
- 4Apply statistical methods and machine learning models to predict package delivery outcomes and improve routing algorithms.
- 5Translate complex data into clear recommendations for engineering and operations stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions.
- 6Own data quality and integrity, implementing validation checks and documentation standards for reporting.
- 7Develop and deploy AI products at scale using AWS services like EC2, DynamoDB, and S3.
- 8Collaborate with science teams to refine predictive models, ensuring they meet business needs and production requirements.
Requirements8
- 13+ years analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL databases.
- 23+ years experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- 33+ years experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines with SQL and Python.
- 43+ years experience using Python scripting to process data for modeling.
- 5Experience with statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
- 6Experience with AWS solutions including EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
- 7Experience developing, deploying, and managing AI products at scale.
- 85+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL databases for the preferred qualifications.
