Business Development Manager, Automotive Aftermarket Sales
Overview
You will own territory sales for bpro products across OEM Dealerships, independent installers, and fleets in the U.S. automotive aftermarket. You will travel full-time to partner with dealers, coordinate marketing programs, and drive product adoption. Reporting to the PMO, you will work alongside Mopar headquarters and field teams to identify market gaps and expand coverage. This role demands a self-starter who can close sales and build long-term dealer relationships.
What You'll Do8
- 1Schedule dealer visits and travel with assigned dealers to sell and support bpro products, achieving minimum face-to-face contact every 30-45 days.
- 2Coordinate and communicate marketing and sales programs, including technician training, technical support, local promotions, and dealer-funded details.
- 3Follow up on sales calls and close sales as authorized by dealers, using initiative to drive results.
- 4Submit daily sales call reports in TrackIT and Excel, including planned vs. actual visits, product sales results, and next steps.
- 5Provide recommendations on product line expansion, pricing opportunities, and market trends using the advanced analytics and data reporting system.
- 6Collaborate with Mopar headquarters and field personnel to coordinate efforts and identify open markets needing coverage.
- 7Maintain weekly phone contact with every servicing dealer and respond to all emails and calls within 24 hours.
- 8Log all contacts in TrackIT and participate in standard meetings with OEM Business Center personnel.
Requirements19
- 17+ years professional experience in the automotive aftermarket or wholesale parts environment, with Stellantis dealer experience preferred.
- 2Experience in wholesale automotive parts sales, management, and customer requirements.
- 3Prior aftermarket territory sales management, training, coaching, and consulting preferred.
- 4Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- 5Highly interpersonal with team-building and participative management skills.
- 6Proficient with PC, Dealer/IRF Management Systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- 7Bachelor's degree in a related field or 7+ years equivalent experience.
- 8Familiarity with automotive operations: manufacturer, fleet, installer, mechanical parts wholesale, dealership parts management, and aftermarket service departments.
- 9Basic understanding of automobile repair and technology.
- 10Professional level English communication skills; other languages as required by the client.
- 11High proficiency with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 12Demonstrated competency in Mopar/Dealer/Distributor specific software applications.
- 13Ability to perform GAP analysis and develop comprehensive action plans.
- 14Comprehensive experience in wholesale parts business planning and marketing highly preferred.
- 15Ability to execute program components such as training, reporting, merchandising, marketing, group facilitation, and product demonstration.
- 16Proficient in process development, mapping, evaluation, and execution.
- 17Capability to formulate business decisions based on logical reasoning and offer solution-based outcomes.
- 18Self-starting ability to operate in a business environment with limited management oversight, with demonstrated teamwork.
- 19Physical capability to assemble displays, deliver materials, travel multi-day, engage in extended physical activity, and lift 50 lbs minimum.
