Business Analyst, Trading Systems & FIX Protocol
Overview
You will own requirement gathering and documentation for our order routing products at Dash Financial Technologies. You will support the Senior Business Analyst across messaging flows, API mapping, and data models for FIX protocol and smart order routers. You will collaborate with development and QA teams to ship high-quality solutions to institutional clients. This role stands out for its focus on algorithmic trading and options/equities market structure.
What You'll Do7
- 1Gather and document business and technical requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
- 2Document messaging flows between routing components, clients, and exchanges using FIX protocol.
- 3Map API requirements for order routing and smart order routers.
- 4Define data models for system entities and order processing logic.
- 5Contribute to impact analysis and solution planning during testing and deployment cycles.
- 6Maintain structured documentation including workflow diagrams, use cases, and test scenarios.
- 7Collaborate with developers and QA to validate solutions and maintain delivery quality.
Requirements8
- 12-4 years experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, trading, or technology.
- 2Strong understanding of U.S. equities and options markets, including market structure and order lifecycle.
- 3Experience with FIX protocol and algorithmic trading or smart order routers.
- 4Exposure to networking concepts such as TCP/IP and APIs.
- 5Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- 6Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT, computer science, math, or related fields.
- 7Ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment.
- 8Excellent communication with technical and non-technical teams.
