Overview
You will own the security metrics and reporting lifecycle for a long-term client engagement, translating raw security data into actionable insights for leadership. You will work within a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and security specialists in New York, NY. You will drive the design and delivery of dashboards and reports that directly influence security investment decisions. This role centers on Tableau development and SQL querying, with exposure to ServiceNow and Jira for workflow integration.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build security metrics dashboards in Tableau that track KPIs and trend analysis for executive review
- 2Design SQL queries to extract and transform security data from ServiceNow, Splunk, and other sources
- 3Lead weekly reporting cycles, ensuring data accuracy and on-time delivery of security scorecards
- 4Collaborate with security engineers to define metric definitions and data lineage
- 5Automate report generation using Python scripts and Excel macros to reduce manual effort
- 6Document reporting processes and maintain a metrics catalog for consistency
- 7Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, translating data into business impact

- 15+ years in business analysis, with a focus on security metrics or risk reporting
- 23+ years hands-on Tableau development, including calculated fields and parameters
- 33+ years writing complex SQL queries against relational databases
- 42+ years working with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms
- 51+ years using Splunk for log analysis and reporting
- 6Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and anomalies in security data
- 7Excellent communication skills to present complex data to non-technical audiences
