Business Analyst, IT Financial Planning & Budgeting NYC
Overview
Excel driven role supporting financial planning across IT departments and multiple business units in a hybrid NYC environment. Own forecasting, accruals, and cost analysis for a 12 month contract with potential extensions. Work with Finance, Procurement, and IT stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting and accurate budgeting. This role emphasizes analytical rigor, attention to detail, and clear communication in a fast paced setting.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain rolling financial models and management reports to forecast IT expenses
- 2Forecast and track actual expenses using Excel based models and provide variance analysis
- 3Prepare financial reports and management presentations for IT leadership
- 4Track IT contracts, support renewals with Procurement, and manage Beeline vendor data
- 5Perform daily and periodic updates to financial models and reporting tools
- 6Manage monthly accounting transactions including accruals and prepaids
- 7Analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights to management
- 8Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Budget Managers to resolve variances and issues
- 9Support budgeting and forecasting across multiple IT orgs
- 10Onboard new consulting resources and maintain contract/engagement data
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience
- 2Approximately 4–6 years of business/financial analysis experience
- 3Strong Excel skills and experience with budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
- 4Experience with account reconciliations financial reporting and rolling models
- 5Ability to work with Finance, Procurement, IT and business stakeholders
- 6Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- 7Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 8Experience with PeopleSoft Procurement and Financial modules is a plus
- 9Experience with Beeline Vendor Management System is a plus
- 10SQL or Python knowledge for data extraction is a plus
