Blender Operator (2nd Shift Bilingual)
Overview
Operate and maintain blending equipment on the 2nd shift in a food manufacturing plant. Ensure batches meet customer specifications and food safety standards while training new staff. Work with a dedicated team in Chicago, reporting to management. This role requires bilingual communication in Spanish and English.
What You'll Do10
- 1Comply with all safety processes and follow SOP procedures for metal detection and quality checks.
- 2Inspect product to verify conformance to customer specifications, including proper application of ingredients and materials.
- 3Record all ingredients received and used each shift, then measure and blend according to batch sheet instructions while monitoring the blending process.
- 4Operate auxiliary equipment including weigh scales and conveyor systems.
- 5Maintain blender sanitation and ensure work area is clean and compliant with food safety regulations.
- 6Analyze production problems and assist team members in resolving them, recommending improvements for methods and equipment performance.
- 7Maintain process control paperwork and obtain required shift paperwork, including scale verification and batch blend records.
- 8Set up and break down machines, correctly disassemble blender, sifter, and cluster collector, then clean and sanitize equipment.
- 9Train new employees and general laborers on line duties to maintain production flow.
- 10Make weight adjustments on filler and control seal bar temperature, dwell time, and pressure.
Requirements8
- 11-2 years experience as a blender operator or in food manufacturing.
- 2Bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
- 3High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours.
- 5Knowledge of metal detectors and SOP procedures.
- 6Experience with batch sheets and ingredient measurement.
- 7Availability for 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) and some weekends.
- 8Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.
