Operate enrobing machines on 2nd shift to coat confections and snacks for a family-owned manufacturer producing millions of units yearly. What You'll Do10
- 1Set up and run enrobers and tempering units, adjusting controls for proper coating flow and coverage.
- 2Perform daily prep: melt coatings, verify tempering, and maintain temperatures within spec.
- 3Inspect equipment regularly to identify needed repairs, prevent breakdowns, and complete minor fixes.
- 4Complete line specification sheets and production reports, tracking output against schedule.
- 5Lead changeovers with sanitation and maintenance teams, following SSOP and HACCP standards.
- 6Coordinate material stocking and rotation to keep runs uninterrupted and fresh.
- 7Verify metal detection units before and during production to ensure product safety.
- 8Document material usage, scrap, and daily inventory for QA sign-off.
- 9Train and guide associates on safe operation and productivity standards.
- 10Shut down and lock out equipment securely after each run, following safety protocols.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or GED.
- 22+ years operating enrobing or similar food processing equipment.
- 3Mechanical troubleshooting skills to adjust and repair machinery.
- 4Basic math: convert measurements to weight, use ratios and percentages.
- 5Computer literacy for production tracking and documentation.
- 6Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout shift.
- 7Willingness to work weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
- 8Strong communication and teamwork in a food safety environment.
- 9Commitment to GMP and 5S cleanliness standards.
