What You'll Do11
- 1Operate vehicle according to OSHA DOT and local state federal requirements performing pre and post trip inspections using DVIR reports.
- 2Report any vehicle deficiencies before and after each route day.
- 3Ensure proper vehicle operation and notify supervisors of concerns.
- 4Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety rules.
- 5Clean areas around waste spills adhering to safety standards.
- 6Tag contaminated waste barrels.
- 7Follow protocols at Material Recovery Facility MRF.
- 8Maintain clean vehicle by cleaning waste from packer blade and truck body.
- 9Wear required PPE while operating machinery.
- 10Participate in scheduled training and safety meetings.
- 11Work with Route Supervisors to improve efficiency and resolve issues.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma or GED valid Class C Driver's License.
- 21 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle.
- 3Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
- 4Valid driving record and clean history.
- 5Bilingual English Spanish preferred.
- 63-5 years of experience in waste environmental services energy or transportation industries.
- 7Experience with hazardous materials handling.
- 8Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- 9Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
