BIM Technician - Structures at Stantec
Overview
Stantec seeks a BIM Technician to join their Buildings team in Los Angeles. This role drives design excellence through advanced modeling and collaboration across projects. You will own BIM processes and contribute to innovative solutions.
What You'll Do11
- 1Sets up new BIM models and maintains file structures for projects
- 2Works with project managers and technical design staff to prepare drawing documentation
- 3Skills in Revit Structure for 3D projects including model maintenance and view creation
- 4Creates electronic data files compliant with Stantec and client standards
- 5Converts markups to document-ready work and publishes drawing sets
- 6Maintains revision control and assists staff with Revit troubleshooting
- 7Adds insights to improve BIM efficiency and recommends process enhancements
- 8Increases technical knowledge by pursuing training opportunities
- 9Attends internal and external meetings to align with studio goals
- 10Supports firm-wide objectives through proactive participation
- 11Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outputs
Requirements11
- 1Strong knowledge of Revit latest versions and their application in construction
- 2Proficiency in Building Information Modeling concepts
- 3Experience with Revit family tools and clash detection using Navisworks
- 4Client-focused attitude with a can-do approach
- 5Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- 7Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with Revit or equivalent background
- 8Related experience in architecture engineering or contracting fields
- 9Preference for familiarity with structural design principles
- 10Advanced degree in a related discipline
- 11Certifications such as CPC Card or AWS Certified may be considered
Salary Insight
$83 - $120k per year
