What You'll Do10
- 1Guide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish, providing clear and compassionate education on procedures and next steps.
- 2Conduct structured patient consultations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in all interactions.
- 3Build strong relationships with partner site staff, providers, and clinical teams, acting as a trusted extension of partner clinics.
- 4Adapt to changing clinic needs, schedules, and priorities while maintaining service quality.
- 5Own patient cases, scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination, proactively resolving barriers to testing or completion.
- 6Ensure timely callbacks and consistent communication with patients and partners.
- 7Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing, ensuring proper patient identification, labeling, handling, and transport.
- 8Follow all clinical protocols, safety standards, and compliance requirements, maintaining accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
- 9Support insurance verification and authorization processes, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate data entry.
- 10Create a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment, responding to patient concerns with empathy and clarity.
Requirements8
- 1Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
- 22+ years of clinical experience (front office or back office).
- 32+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
- 4Current BLS certification.
- 5Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.
- 6Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- 7Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if travel is required.
- 8Bilingual in Spanish and English.
