Bilingual EOIR Paralegal
Overview
Lead comprehensive legal and administrative support for EOIR cases at Sanabria & Associates, PLLC. This role drives case management from intake to closure while assisting attorneys with removal defense matters and client communications. You will coordinate complex workflows and ensure strict adherence to court deadlines and firm protocols.
What You'll Do11
- 1Manage a high-volume EOIR caseload from assignment through completion
- 2Prepare and file immigration court applications motions briefs and supplemental evidence
- 3Assist attorneys with removal defense matters including asylum cancellation of removal and adjustments of status
- 4Draft legal correspondence declarations affidavits procedural motions and other case documents
- 5Review case files court notices and scheduling orders to ensure timely progression
- 6Coordinate case strategy preparation and client hearing preparation
- 7Communicate with clients about case updates document requests and filing requirements
- 8Organize review and maintain supporting evidence and client records throughout case lifecycle
- 9File documents through EOIR ECAS and maintain accurate electronic case records
- 10Monitor immigration court calendars filing deadlines and post-hearing case activity
- 11Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case management
Requirements7
- 1Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- 21-3 years immigration law experience preferred
- 3Strong knowledge of EOIR procedures and US immigration laws
- 4Proficiency with case management software
- 5Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- 6Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
- 7Professional client service skills and commitment to confidentiality
