Overview
You will work one-on-one with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, implementing behavior change plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts. You'll document progress, build social and communication skills, and reduce repetitive behaviors. Maxim Healthcare provides paid training, weekly pay, and flexible morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. What You'll Do7
- 1Implement behavior intervention plans for children and adults with ASD, focusing on social skills, communication, and reducing restrictive behaviors.
- 2Document client progress and milestones during each session using mobile devices and ABA data collection tools.
- 3Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust behavior plans based on observed client responses and data trends.
- 4Build rapport with clients and families to encourage engagement and generalize skills across settings.
- 5Maintain a safe and supportive environment, applying CPR and First Aid techniques as needed.
- 6Track and report session notes and attendance through Maxim's electronic system within 24 hours.
- 7Attend team meetings and training sessions to improve ABA techniques and stay updated on client goals.
Requirements9
- 1High School diploma or equivalent required
- 218 years or older
- 3Completion of 40-hour ABA Training (provided by Maxim, must complete before service)
- 4Current CPR and First Aid certification
- 5Current PPD or chest X-ray
- 6Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- 7Technological proficiency with mobile devices for documentation
- 8College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, or human development, OR 1+ year experience as a Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician
- 9Effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
