Behavior Technician (ABA Therapy)
Overview
Behavior Technicians own one-on-one therapy for children with autism, applying ABA to build communication, confidence, and independence. Work directly with a supportive clinical team. No prior experience needed—paid training and RBT certification support provided.
What You'll Do8
- 1Implement ABA therapy plans during one-on-one sessions, targeting communication, social, and daily living skills.
- 2Collect and record session data on each child's progress, using CentralReach or similar tools to track behaviors.
- 3Adjust therapy approaches in real time to keep sessions engaging and effective, based on supervision feedback.
- 4Partner with BCBAs and other team members during weekly check-ins to refine treatment plans and goals.
- 5Communicate with parents and caregivers on session outcomes, recommending strategies for home reinforcement.
- 6Take a leading role in the first 30 days by mastering the child's plan and building rapport through play-based techniques.
- 7Ship timely and accurate notes for each session, documenting all triggers, responses, and skill acquisitions.
- 8Drive your own growth by completing the RBT certification within the first 90 days, supported by our training program.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's in psychology, education, or related field preferred.
- 2No prior experience necessary—paid training and full support provided for the RBT certification.
- 3Ability to pass a background check and clear drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- 4Physical ability to engage in active play, including sitting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- 5Willingness to work full-time hours within our clinic's schedule, Monday through Friday, no weekends.
- 6Strong commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive child and family information.
- 7Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with children, families, and BCBA supervisors.
- 8Reliable transportation to and from the clinic in Indianapolis, Indiana.
