Behavior Specialist, Entry Level School-Based Support
Overview
You will own daily behavioral support for students with diverse learning needs, using play and evidence-based strategies to build communication and social skills. What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver personalized behavior plans in school, center, or home settings, adapting activities to each child's needs.
- 2Lead play-based sessions that target communication, social, and life skills, celebrating small wins that build momentum.
- 3Track child progress daily, documenting observations and adjusting strategies with clinical guidance.
- 4Coordinate with teachers, families, and clinical leaders to align support across environments.
- 5Model positive behavior and coach families on reinforcement techniques for consistent progress.
- 6Prepare session materials and maintain a safe, engaging learning space.
- 7Complete required training and certifications, including CPR and First Aid, within the first 90 days.
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 2Flexible availability for Mon-Fri afternoons and evenings plus Saturdays
- 3Proof of vaccinations: MMR, Varicella, and COVID (CA mandated)
- 4Reliable transportation to travel between school and center sites
- 5Comfort working with diverse populations, including students with autism and developmental needs
- 6Willingness to complete ongoing training and maintain detailed documentation
- 7Ability to frequently sit, stand, and keep pace with active children throughout the day
