Overview

You will own behavioral intervention systems across 3-4 school sites, supporting student success for the 2025-2026 school year. BCBA certification or a valid Special Education license (Tier 3 or 4) is required. You will collaborate with another Behavior Intervention Specialist and a Special Education Administrator, starting with a training week in late August. This contract role focuses on implementing positive behavior supports, conducting functional behavior assessments, and ensuring safe learning environments. The role offers a regular weekday schedule of approximately 37.5 hours per week.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Consult with school staff to implement positive behavioral interventions and supports across multiple sites.
  • 2Conduct and analyze functional behavior assessments to develop targeted strategies for students.
  • 3Support and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • 4Provide training for staff regarding behavioral recommendations and interventions.
  • 5Apply de-escalation techniques and restrictive procedures as needed to maintain student and staff safety.
  • 6Collect and utilize data to inform ongoing programming decisions.
  • 7Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
  • 8Respond flexibly and calmly to crisis situations.
  • 9Perform other duties as assigned by Special Education leadership.

Requirements6

  • 1BCBA certification or valid Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or 4 required for SpEd Teachers).
  • 2Experience with behavioral interventions in school settings.
  • 3Skilled in conducting functional behavior assessments and applying evidence-based practices.
  • 4Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • 5Ability to travel between 3-4 school sites as assigned.
  • 6Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) do not qualify for this role.
