Overview
As a BCBA independent contractor with AIM, you will own behavioral assessment, plan design, and data-driven clinical decisions for students in public schools across Austin. You will conduct FBAs, develop treatment plans, and train implementers, with the freedom to choose your clinical methods. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and a network of evaluators, you will deliver services outlined in each student's IEP or BIP. This role stands out for its clinical autonomy, reliable district placement, and no long-term obligation.
What You'll Do8
- 1Conduct FBAs and skills assessments using evidence-based tools to identify student needs.
- 2Design behavior intervention plans and treatment plans, recommending strategies for the school setting.
- 3Develop and apply functional analysis methods for complex cases, as clinically indicated.
- 4Establish data collection systems to capture baseline and progress, analyzing data to adjust interventions.
- 5Guide direct support professionals and ABA implementers with clinical direction and feedback.
- 6Maintain parent communication and family engagement for each student on your caseload.
- 7Recommend service minutes and attend ARD or IEP meetings to advocate for student behavioral goals.
- 8Ensure compliance with the BACB Ethics Code and district policies in all clinical work.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- 2Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
- 3Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record.
- 43+ years applying Applied Behavior Analysis in school settings.
- 5Proven skill in functional behavior assessment and behavior reduction procedures.
- 6Strong organizational and communication skills for family and team collaboration.
- 7Ability to serve students across age and functional levels with minimal supervision.
- 8Reliable, consistent delivery of scheduled services in Austin-area schools.
