Batcher, Food Production & Sauce Making
Overview
Own the end-to-end batch process for sauces, syrups, jellies, and related liquid products at scale. You will weigh ingredients, operate industrial mixing and cooking equipment, monitor temperatures and processing parameters, and ensure each batch meets strict quality and food safety standards. You will work closely with QA, maintain batch records, and support changeovers between formulas in a hands-on production environment. This role centers on precision, safety, and consistent product quality.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build batches of sauces and related products according to approved formulas and schedules
- 2Accurately weigh and stage dry and liquid ingredients
- 3Operate industrial mixing tanks, kettles, agitators, pumps, and heating systems
- 4Cook, heat, blend, and mix products following processing parameters
- 5Monitor batch data including temperature, time, pH, and viscosity and make authorized adjustments as needed
- 6Collect samples for QA testing and ensure finished products meet specifications
- 7Transfer finished batches to holding tanks or packaging areas and complete batch records
- 8Follow FIFO/FEFO and proper ingredient handling practices
- 9Assist with product changeovers between formulas
- 10Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work environment according to GMP and HACCP requirements

- 1Strong attention to detail and ability to follow formulas and batch sheets precisely
- 2Ability to read production documentation and ingredient labels
- 3Experience with scales and accurate weighing of ingredients
- 4Ability to perform basic mathematics and measurements
- 5Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- 6Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- 7Experience in food or beverage manufacturing is preferred
- 8Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF or other GFSI-recognized food safety systems is a plus
- 9Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
- 10Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift bags or containers as required
