Barista, Sweet Shop & Fine Dining Service
Overview
You own the guest experience at our Sweet Shop, delivering attentive service and expert menu knowledge in a lively, high-volume environment. You'll work with a tight-knit hospitality team across fine dining and nightlife settings, handling everything from POS transactions to upselling. This role stands out for its blend of classic service craft and fast-paced atmosphere, with room to grow your skills.
What You'll Do9
- 1Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm.
- 2Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS, noting special requests clearly.
- 3Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation and cleanliness standards.
- 4Upsell menu items by recommending popular dishes, beverages, or specials to boost sales.
- 5Manage guest relations by providing attentive service, answering menu questions, and addressing concerns promptly.
- 6Handle cash transactions accurately through OpenTable or cash registers, following cash handling protocols.
- 7Support food handling, sanitation, bussing, and kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- 8Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and restaurant policies.
- 9Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during peak hours in both fine dining and nightlife venues.
Requirements7
- 1Previous experience in food service or restaurants, especially fine dining, is preferred.
- 21+ years managing multiple tables efficiently with strong customer service.
- 3Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus.
- 4Strong communication skills and basic math for cash handling and billing.
- 5Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and sales.
- 6Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures.
- 7Prior host/hostess or serving experience in a nightclub setting is advantageous.
