What You'll Do9

  • 1Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and suggest beverages and café items to match their tastes.
  • 2Operate the register with speed and accuracy, handling transactions in a friendly manner.
  • 3Prepare food and drinks following recipe guides and product specs, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • 4Maintain café cleanliness by executing daily and weekly cleaning tasks during your shift.
  • 5Unpack and stock deliveries, practicing FIFO and dating products correctly.
  • 6Support the bookfloor team when needed, assisting with customer service and store operations.
  • 7Watch for and report theft or problematic behavior, using de-escalation techniques as trained.
  • 8Build knowledge of café products, including LTO items, and share this with customers and colleagues.
  • 9Keep the café visually appealing with strong merchandising and display skills.

Requirements8

  • 1Ability to stand for prolonged periods, with repetitive bending, lifting, and walking.
  • 2Comfort using varied technology including registers, computers, and tablets.
  • 3Strong communication skills to interact with customers and teammates cheerfully.
  • 4Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • 5Willingness to learn new skills and take on varied tasks, from register to café stocking.
  • 6Commitment to following safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • 71+ years of customer service or barista experience is a plus.
  • 8High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
